Attention to every detail
In the Bootlab we work with various techniques and tools to fine tune ski boots to your feet down to the smallest detail. We can mould the liner with heat for a better fit, relieve pressure points by removing or replacing material and add foam for a more secure wrap.
We can also heat mould the shell, expand it locally or, where the material allows, grind it for more space or more even pressure distribution. The bootboard, the platform inside the bottom of the shell, can be adjusted to match the exact stance, height or canting your foot needs.
We also create custom insoles and custom foam liners that are shaped entirely to your foot, ensuring the perfect balance of support, cushioning and control. Every adjustment is made with care and precision and only when it truly adds value to the final result.
When extra expertise is needed
Sometimes a foot or body posture calls for additional expertise. In those cases we work with registered podiatrist Mark de Vries, who is also an experienced skier and high level ski instructor. His deep understanding of foot biomechanics allows him to see exactly what happens inside the boot while skiing and how small differences in pressure, alignment or support influence your skiing.
Mark looks not only at the foot at rest but especially at how it moves on the ski, where it truly matters. He understands the effect of subtle adjustments and translates them directly into targeted modifications that noticeably improve comfort, control and performance. Together we combine craftsmanship, analysis and medical expertise, allowing us to fine tune every ski boot with perfect balance and support. Mark is available every Friday at our location in Zoetermeer.
