Quick entry, full control
Easy Entry & Step On snowboard bindings
Step in easily, ride immediately. Modern easy entry systems make snowboarding more comfortable than ever without compromising control or board feel. Duijvestein introduces you to Burton Step On, Nidecker Supermatic and Fase (Jones/Bataleon): three systems that each offer a unique balance of convenience, flexibility and performance.
What is an Easy Entry binding?
Easy Entry bindings are designed for snowboarders who want to get in faster and easier. No more strap hassle: one smooth move and you’re ready for your next run. Burton Step On set the standard in 2017 and keeps evolving. The system is developed by Burton, but other brands like Union also use it under license. That means you can now mix Union Step On boots and bindings with the trusted Burton system. Nidecker Supermatic and Fase (Jones/Bataleon) also offer quick-entry solutions, each with their own feel and design.
Differences between Step On, Supermatic and Fase
All three systems share the same goal – easy, fast entry – but achieve it differently. Burton and Union Step On use a click-in system that locks your boots directly. Step in, click, and go. Exit with one side lever. Nidecker Supermatic mixes classic straps with an automatic rear-entry: the highback folds down when you step in and closes automatically. Fase from Jones and Bataleon works slightly differently: you step in and perform one extra motion to lock in. Exiting is instant. Each system finds its own balance between ease, response and feel.

Can I use Supermatic or Fase with my current boots?
Yes, both systems are designed for standard snowboard boots. Perfect if you don’t want to buy new boots right away but still want faster entry.
Which binding is the fastest?
Burton and Union Step On are the quickest: step in, click, done. Nidecker Supermatic is almost as fast with a smooth rear-entry system. Fase takes one extra motion to lock, but exiting is instant.
Can I test these systems at Duijvestein?
Yes, in Zoetermeer and Landgraaf you can test all systems on real snow and discover which entry system works best for your style.
Nidecker Supermatic has become a favorite too; its advantage is that you can use your own boots.
