Burton Step On Binding:
Step on and go!
Stap simpelweg in je bindingen zonder te knoeien met traditionele straps.
How it rolls: Je boots klikken vast op drie cruciale punten: twee bij je tenen en één aan je hiel. Met een druk op de kliksluiting zit je net zo snel vast als een skiër.
Burton, Nitro, en DC-shoes rocken dit systeem.
VOORDELEN
- Razendsnel in- en uitstappen.
- Say goodbye tegen bukken om je bindingen vast te maken.
- Uitstappen is net zo easy met een hendel aan de zijkant.
- Ruimte in de werking van het systeem voor eventuele sneeuw onder je boot.
- Directe power transfer, nul verlies tussen de beweging van boot en binding.
- Zeg maar adieu tegen zitten in de sneeuw.
NADELEN
- De specifieke Step On-boots, die compatibel zijn met het Step On-Systeem zijn vereist.
Dus geen mix-and-match met je huidige boots.
- Je moet zowel bindingen als boots aanschaffen.
- Niet alle snowboardboot-merken zijn Step On-compatible. Nitro, DC en natuurlijk Burton maken boots voor dit systeem.
- Dubbelcheck en vertrouwen of je goed vastzit.
- Geen optie voor een losser gevoel in je binding. Wat vast is, is vast. Daarom geven sommige rijders voorkeur aan het gevoel en de aanpasbaarheid van traditionele straps.
Nidecker Supermatic Binding
Quick and sleek
Een snelbindsysteem met een hefboommechanisme voor moeiteloos in- en uitstappen.
How it rolls: Schuif je boot in de binding, trap dicht, en je bent good to go. De highback klapt naar achteren en een trapeze sluit onder je hiel.
Wil je uitstappen? Hendel openen, highback klapt weer open, en je stapt stylish uit.
VOORDELEN
- Gebruik je bestaande softboots, geen speciale aankopen nodig.
- Compatibel met practisch alle snowboardboot-merken.
- Behoud het vertrouwde strap-gevoel en pas het aan naar jouw stijl. Ook als je in de binding zit, bovenaan bijvoorbeeld een spannende afdaling.
- Geen last van sneeuw, er is voldoende ruimte om ook met je boots in te stappen als er wat sneeuw onder zit.
- Zeg wederom gedag tegen zitten in de sneeuw!
NADELEN
- Slechts één type binding beschikbaar in dit genre, er is dus geen stijfheidskeuze.
- Binding oogt wat groot.
- Vertrouwen op het systeem.
Normale Strap Binding
Oldie but goodie!
Het meest gangbare systeem met twee straps: één over de tenen en één over de wreef.
How it rolls: Door zelf handmatig, een tweetal straps vast te maken op elke binding, eentje bij je enkel en eentje bij je tenen zet je je boot vast in je binding.
Volledige controle in jouw handen.
VOORDELEN
- Aanpasbaarheid en een vertrouwd gevoel. Rijders kunnen de strakheid van elke strap aanpassen voor een persoonlijke pasvorm.
- Een breed scala aan modellen en prijspunten beschikbaar.
- Combineer vrijwel alle merken bindingen en snowboardboots.
- Zelf straps vastmaken betekent dat je zeker weet dat je goed zit.
- Pas de strakheid aan naar jouw wensen.
NADELEN
- Neemt meer tijd in beslag bij het in- en uitstappen.
- Tijdsverlies door het ratelen van de buckles.
- Vaak 'zittend' vastmaken, tenzij je super behendig bent.
- Losse straps kunnen onder je boot belanden en breken.
- De straps kunnen beschadigen bij het instappen.

The Burton Lexa EST is a binding for the ladies who like more direct steering. This can be on all fronts of snowboarding, from freestyle to freeride. Due to a stiffer baseplate and highback, the power is transferred to your board faster. Your response to your board becomes faster and there is less loss of movement.
