Pros and cons

  • Forgiving and playful
The soft to medium flex makes it easy to initiate turns and doesn't punish small mistakes, so you can learn and progress with confidence.
  • Rides great in both directions
The directional twin shape means the board feels almost identical riding regular and switch, which is handy whether you're practising switch or already riding it comfortably.
  • Edge hold on any surface
Magne-Traction Serrated Edges give you extra grip on icy and variable snow, keeping your edges biting when conditions get tricky.
  • Fast and durable base
The Sintered Knife-Cut Co-Ex Base holds wax well and handles varied terrain and a high volume of runs with ease.
  • Less suited to high speeds
The soft to medium flex gives the board its playful character, but at really high speeds it can start to feel a bit unstable.
  • You'll eventually outgrow it
If you later want more power and precision in your turns, you'll find yourself wanting a stiffer board.

Description

The GNU Fiction is a women's board for riders who are just starting out or already progressing and want to ride everywhere on the mountain. The Original Banana Hybrid Contour profile delivers a smooth, forgiving feel with enough response for playful progression. The directional twin shape makes the board comfortable in both directions, whether you're carving regular or riding switch. Magne-Traction Serrated Edges keep your edges in contact with the snow, even when the surface is icy or uneven. The Sintered Knife-Cut Co-Ex Base is fast, holds wax well, and stands up to varied terrain. A board that grows with you and stays fun on the piste every single day.

Features

Edge hold: Magne-Traction Serrated Edges provide extra grip on icy and variable snow, keeping your edges locked in even when conditions get more demanding.
