Pros and cons
-
Accessible freeride characterThe soft-to-medium flex and directional profile make this board easy to ride, even if you don't have much freeride experience yet.
-
Effortless float in powderThe directional shape with tapered tail keeps the nose riding high in powder without your back leg cramping up.
-
Smooth edge-to-edge transitionsThe 3D-shaped base with Flip Tips makes edge changes fluid, so you can initiate turns quickly and easily.
-
Versatile across terrainFrom groomed piste to fresh off-piste snow, this board feels at home wherever you point it.
-
Less grip on hard snowOn icy or hard-packed snow at higher speeds, the soft flex shows its limits: the board feels less stable and controlled than stiffer options.
Description
The Jones Frontier 2.0 is built for snowboarders who want to explore the whole mountain, from groomed piste to fresh powder. The directional shape with tapered tail gives the board float in powder, while the soft-to-medium flex keeps turn initiation accessible and playful. The directional rocker profile and 3D-shaped base with Flip Tips make edge changes smooth and allow you to get into turns quickly. The core is built around a Master Core with Biax Fiberglass. This is a board that invites you to explore, and you don't need years of experience to get the most out of it.
Features
Level: Beginner to advanced. The soft-to-medium flex and forgiving profile make this board a great fit for riders still developing their freeride skills, but advanced snowboarders who want a playful, accessible ride will love it too.
Snowboarder type / riding style: All-mountain freeride: for snowboarders who are after adventure and love riding deep off-piste snow, but also want to have a great day on the groomed runs.
Grip: The directional rocker profile and 3D-shaped base give you confident grip and make it easy to initiate turns quickly. On hard or icy snow at high speed, the soft flex does start to show its limits.
Stability: At a normal pace and in powder, the board feels stable and predictable. Push the speed or hit harder snow, and the soft flex demands more from your technique to keep things in check.
