Pros and cons

  • Stable and powerful
The camber profile sits further under your back foot, giving you a solid, powerful feel underfoot on the piste.
  • Grip from any stance
Carbon Array 3 keeps you in control of the board, no matter where your bindings are set on the stance.
  • Absorbs hard hits
Slimewalls soak up heavy impacts and keep the ride smooth, even on rough terrain.
  • Great float in deeper snow
The directional shape and longer nose give you that extra bit of float in powder.
  • Demands an advanced level
The medium-stiff flex and powerful character of this board really shine once you can already carve with confidence.

Description

The Ride Moderator is what you'd call a quiver killer: one board that handles everything you want to do on a snowboard trip. The directional shape pairs with a camber profile that sits further under your back foot, giving you a stable, powerful feel on the piste while still leaving you enough float when the snow gets deeper. Carbon Array 3 keeps you in control from any stance, and Slimewalls absorb impacts to keep the board composed on rough terrain. The medium-stiff flex makes the Moderator feel direct and precise.

Features

Level: Advanced to expert. You need the technique and strength to drive the board properly and get the most out of it.

Type of snowboarder / riding style: All-mountain freeride: equally at home on the piste as it is off it or diving into powder. Built for riders who want one board that does it all.

Grip: The extra camber under your back foot creates a firm connection with the snow, so you can drive through your turns with power and precision.

Stability: Slimewalls absorb hard hits and keep the board settled on uneven terrain, while Carbon Array 3 keeps you in control from any position.

Why choose the Ride Moderator?

The Moderator is the board for the advanced snowboarder who doesn't want to choose between piste and powder. Stable and powerful when you want to lay down pressure, forgiving enough when the snow softens up. Ride has a reputation for boards that ride exactly as promised, and the Moderator is a great example of that. Want to know whether this board suits your riding style and level? The team at Duijvestein Winterstore is happy to help, in store or online.
